大乘寺始建于１９３９年，是东北地区历史悠久的一座大寺院。大乘寺坐北朝南， 院墙按八卦建造，庙宇采用斗拱式建筑，玻璃瓦覆盖，大雄宝殿脊中央的麒麟背驮一 座玲珑宝塔经幌，与绿色琉璃瓦组成的“大乘寺”三个大字交相辉映，具有浓郁的宗 教色彩。 Constructed in 1939,the Great Vehicle Temple faces south and its wa lls were constructed according to the Eight Diagrams (eight combination s of three whold or broken lines formerly used in divinaton ).It is a t ypical dougong(bucketarch)building and its roofs are covered with glaze d tiles.In the middle of theridge of the Grand Hall stands a Chinese un icorn ,on the back of which is a delicate Buddhist tower.The tower and the three character,Great Vehicle Temple,formed with green glazed tiles add radiance and beauty to each other,showing strong religious color. |
