牡丹江市是黑龙江省东南部政治、经济、文化交通和对外开放的中心城市，北靠七台河 市；西邻哈尔滨；南与吉林省的珲春、汪清、敦化接壤，东南与俄罗斯滨海边区为界，边境 线长２０７公里，处于中、俄、朝国际合作“金三角”的腹地。 在牡丹江市与俄罗斯接壤的边境线上，有绥芬河、东宁两个国家一类口岸。经过几年来 的发展和建设，口岸功能逐渐完善，青云市场已发展成绥芬河口岸驰名中外的边民互市贸易 市场。现已形成以牡丹江市为轴心、以边境口岸为窗口的全方位的沿边开放带和边境 旅游、跨国旅游区。 景色秀丽的牡丹峰自然保护区、三道关黑熊养殖基地、横道河子养虎中心、八女投江纪 念碑、杨子荣烈士纪念馆、历史悠久的唐代渤海国上京龙泉府与独具特色的民俗风情和极具 魅力的冬季冰雪旅游吸引着众多的中外游客。 丰富的旅游资源和良好的投资环境，为牡丹江市发展旅游业和扩大招商引资创造了有利 条件。牡丹江正在发展建设成为东北亚地区的国际经贸商城和特色旅游城。
Mudanjiang is a political, economic, cultural and communications center
in southeast Heilongjiang and a major city opening t o the outside world. I
t is bordered by Qiaihe City, the city of coal, in the north; Songhuajing P
refecture, a granary, in the west;Huichun, Wangqing and Dunhua counties of
Jilin Province in the south; and Russia in the southeast. With a border lin
e of 207 kilometers, it is in the hinterland of the Golden Delta for the c
ooperation between China, Russia and Korea.
Along the border lines between Mudanjiang City and Russia, there are tw
o first--class national ports of entry --Suifenhe and Dongning. Thanks to t
he efforts in the past few years, the functions of the ports have gradually
been perfected;and the Qingyun Market has become a well -- known border and
transnational tourism areas with Mudanjing as the center and the border por
ts as the windows have been formed.
Other scenic attractions include the Mudanfeng Nature Reserve, the Sand
aoguan Bear -- raising Base, Hengdaohezi Tiger -- raising Center, the Monum
ent to the Eight Heroines, Yang Zerong's Memorial Hall, the ruins of shangj
inglongquanfu, capital of Bohai State in the Tang Dynasty, unique folk cust
oms and attractive ice and snow tours in winter.
Its rich tourism resources and good environment for investment provide
favorable conditions for Mudanjiang to develop the rourism industry, solici
t businesses and absorb capital. Now Mudanjiang is sparing no effort to tur
n itself into an international economic and trade city and a toruism city w
ith its own characteristics.
