奇特的“地下森林”是镜泊湖风景区的又一奇景。位于镜泊湖西北约50公里， 坐落在张广才岭海拔一千米的深山区。据考察，这里因火山喷发后停止，火山口 岩浆冷却收缩，顶部自然下陷、塌落而形成大小不等，其形如盆、如井、如簸箕 的10个火山口。经过千万年沧桑变化，大自然重新给它披上绿装，成为世界有名 的火山口原始森林，森林面积达6．7万公顷，生长着红松、紫椴、黄菠萝、黄鳞 松、落叶松等珍贵树种。这座绿色的天然宝库，为中外地质、地理、历史、生物 等学者提供了丰富宝贵的科研资料。 Nestling deep in the Zhangguangcai Mountain at 1,000 meters abo ve sealevel, 50 km northwest of Lake Jingbo, the "underground fores ts" are another peculiar sight in the Lake Mirror Scenic Zone.
