Yichun City in the forest area of the Lesser Hingga
n Mountains is one of importana forest areas in Chi
na and is known as the "land of Korean pines"in the
world.In the primitive forests ancient pine trees r
each to the sky and cover the sun.
    Yichun has clear-cut seasonal changes .In sprin
g ,with melting of ice and snow,flowers are in full
bloom;in summer,there is the soughing of the wind i
n the pines;in autumn ,woods rising one tier upon a
nother are colorful;and in winter,the city is cover
ed by ice and snow.

Round covers an area of 62,000hectares and raises 5
1species of animals including red deer,wolves,river
deer,roe deer,blck bears and wild boars,and 250-odd
species of bires such as hazel grouse and pheasants
The best hunting period lasts half a year from Sept
ember to February of the following year.
    The Stone Monkey Mountain Skiing Ground in Lang
xian Townshop,855 meters above sea level,is one of 
the high peaks of the LesserHinggan Mountains.
    The Dailing Bird-Watching Station with many bir
ds of rare species attracts the attention of domest
ic and foreign experts of birds and of those who lo
ve birds.
    The Dafing River is suitable for drift expediti
on .Along its banks are many scenic spots and histo
rical sites,such as primitive forests,hunting groun
ds,deer farms,the Tianlong Temple,the tombs and tab
lets of the Liao and Kin Dynasties,etc.
    Huilongwan Mountain Village at Meixi boasts the
unique-style architecture.It is the most beautiful 
spot along the Tangwanghe  River and a fishing grou
nd for cold water fish.
    Wuying National Forest Park,the largest nationa
l primitive park of Korean pines in China ,has 10 m
ajor tourist attactions,such as minitrains and vill
as in the forests,and specimens of animals and plan
ts.
    More than 1,400kinds of dinosaur fossils have b
een excavated from the Dragon-bong Hill;hence the n
ame the "land of dinosaurs".
    Hidden in the vast sea of forests in the Lesser

e best scenic spots in China because of its hanging
waterfalls,weird hills,queeer rocks and clear water
s.
    Yichun has rich tourist resources.Now it is wor
